USAID FUNDED FULBRIGHT AGRICULTURAL M.S. AND Ph. D SCHOLARSHIPS
Preference will be given to applicants who serve or plan to serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia and have not previously received any Fulbright scholarship. However, anyone who meet the program’s requirements are also welcomed to apply.
M.S. Applicants must possess:
  • a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
  • leadership qualities
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures
  • a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the program
  • a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS score of 6.0 or IBT TOEFL score of 79/80.*
Ph.D Applicants must possess:
  • a Master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (4.00 scale)
  • a determination to take up academic positions in higher education upon their return
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures
  • a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the program
  • a minimum ITP TOEFL score of 575 or IELTS score of 6.5 or IBT TOEFL score of 90.*
* Important: TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted

York offers awards & scholarships specifically for international students ranging from $100 to $100,000. In addition to the awards requiring this application, some awards are automatically granted based on academic performance.
Established for international undergraduate applicants, recognizing academic excellence,leadership qualities, exceptional community service and individual achievement.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • You MUST be applying for September entry.
  • You MUST be an international student who is required to have a Study Permit to study in Canada.
  • You MUST be applying to the first year of a fulltime undergraduate degree program in one of the following Faculties: Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, Environmental Studies, Fine Arts, Glendon, Health, Lassonde School of Engineering, Science, Schulich School of Business.
  • You MUST possess an excellent academic record (“A” average or equivalent) and have demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports or other areas of individual achievement.
  • You MUST have graduated from high school within the past two years.

Global Leader of Tomorrow Award
  • Valued at $15,000 and renewable for a further three years of full-time undergraduate study provided high academic standing is maintained in each academic year.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme are:
  • Good Master’s degree with academic grades of B+ and above or CGPA of 4.00/5.00 and above
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2nd Class Honours (Upper)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1st Class Honours might be considered for direct entry to PhD programme
  • English language competency
  • ability to pursue research in the proposed field of advanced study
GRE Requirement
GRE is not a mandatory requirement for both local and international applicants. An interview will be conducted for applicants who have graduated from overseas universities to assess the applicant’s language competency and potential to pursue independent research.
TOEFL/IELTS Requirement
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. Test dates must be within 2 years or less from the date of application.

The School of Mathematical & Physical Sciences (MPS)will offer one School Postgraduate Scholarship for a student wishing to study for the PhD in Mathematics, the PhD in Physics, or the PhD in Astronomy, startingSeptember 2013.
The award is for any branch of Mathematics, Physics or Astronomy within the School. Applicants can find details of research in the Department of Mathematics, and the Department of Physics & Astronomy, on our webpages.
The awards consist of a fee waiver or partial fee waiver for 3.5 years.
For a UK or EU student, a full fee waiver, (currently £3828 per year, in 2012-13) is offered.
For an Overseas student, a partial fee waiver is offered which will be sufficient to reduce the student’s fee charge to the same level as a UK student. (That is, the difference between the Overseas fee rate and the UK fee rate will be waived).
The Scholarship holder will be expected to undertake 60 hours of teaching undergraduates each year. Training for teaching will be given after registration in September.

Because there is no matching funding for this award. Applicants must have a source of additional funds to cover living expenses and any remaining fees.

The Swedish Institute Study Scholarships target highly-qualified students from the countries listed below. The scholarships will be awarded for studies in Sweden, starting in August 2013 and covers both living costs and tuition fees.
The next scholarship application round will be in conjunction with the autumn 2013 application round at University Admissions.
The online application form for the academic year 2013/2014 will be open between February 1-11, 2013. No scholarships are offered for the spring 2013 application round.
The list of study programs eligible for a scholarship will be published on December 1, 2012.
Countries
The program is open to candidates from two different categories of countries. Please note that if your country is included under Category 1 – you can only apply within that category.
Category 1:
Candidates with citizenship from the following countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
Category 2:
Candidates with citizenship from countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients, with the following exceptions: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
Citizens from Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine can only apply within the Visby Program.
Citizens from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo and Serbia can apply within the program SI Scholarships for East Europe.
Citizens from Turkey can only apply within the Swedish-Turkish Scholarship Program.

Who is eligible?
OcĂ© provides a scholarship for talented master‘s students. Applicants have to be admitted to one of the master’s programs of the School of Business and Economics starting in September 2013. Candidates applying for this scholarship must have interest in and affinity for the document services and printing industry. The student is invited at the Document Services Valley (open innovation center in the city of Venlo, OcĂ© site) for completing the thesis project, under the guidance of professors of the School of Business and Economics.
Candidates must have met all the requirements of the application procedure. Applicants must come from a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
