The University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School have introduced a limited number of scholarships, available to applicants to the MBA programme at the University of Glasgow, commencing in September 2013.

A total of 5 scholarships are available.

Award: £5,000

Eligibility: The criteria for the scholarships are academic excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission.

How to apply: All MBA applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and who have submitted their application before 26 April 2013 will be considered. No separate application is required.

The Jim Duncan scholarship is open to anyone who has decided to go to University to undertake an undergraduate degree after having had a break in their education, or who are resuming their undergraduate studies at the University after an interruption, and require financial assistance.

Two Jim Duncan Scholarships are available.

Description
The scholarships shall initially be awarded for a two year period of the undergraduate course in order to give security to the scholar awarded. Thereafter, the scholar may apply to have the scholarship renewed on an annual basis. Each scholarship is valued at £1,500 per annum.

Eligibility
The scholarships are open to all students regardless of nationality or fee status, who have had a break in education, or are resuming their undergraduate studies after an interruption.
Applications from medical students would be particularly welcome.

Nottingham Business School will be offering:

• four competitive half fee scholarships of £7,500 which will be available to UK and EU students
• six scholarships of £4,000 each for British unemployed executives

Both Scholarships are available to candidates who have been offered a place to study on Nottingham Business School’s part-time Executive Masters of Business Administration in 2013-14.

This scheme is applicable to the part-time Executive Masters of Business Administration only. Sponsored students (full / part) are not eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme.

The Schecter Jerry Horton Guitar Scholarship, sponsored by Schecter Guitar Research, is awarded each Fall to a student enrolling in the Associate of Arts in Performance (Guitar) program (US or non-US citizen) who demonstrates outstanding musicianship, band performance skills and originality in the Rock genre. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the Guitar performance program only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases ( Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA degree.

Eligibility
To be considered for the Schecter Jerry Horton Guitar Scholarship, you must take the following steps:

• Complete the Schecter Jerry Horton Guitar Scholarship application (see application download instructions below).
• Submit a video recording (DVD format only) of you performing three (3) diverse songs on your guitar (electric or acoustic) within the Rock genre. It is recommended that they all be ORIGINAL live ensemble (band or duo) performances.

The University has a long tradition of welcoming international students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for entry at undergraduate level.

The scholarships will be worth £5000 per annum (for up to three years of study) towards the cost of tuition fees and are offered to nationals of any country paying international fees.

The closing date for application is 31 May prior to the academic year of entry.

ELIGIBILITY

• Applicants for undergraduate study at the University of Kent may ask to be considered for one of the University’s International Scholarships.
• In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, all of the conditions 1 to 3 below must have been satisfied:

Campus Life
Dormitory

• All successful applicants will be given a chance to live in the dormitory. Students can select their own living places if they choose.
• Aside from the dormitory staff, administrative staff member of the Office of Int’l Affairs and Korean Language teachers will stay in the dormitory to support you.
• Three twin rooms are in one apartment each. You will share the apartment among six students, and your roommate will be a Korean student.
• Facilities. Dormitory cafeteria, communal kitchen(free of charge), snack store, convenience store, gym.
• Cost: 185,000 KRW (165 USD) per month in (Fall semester of 2012)

Others

• Buddy Program. 1:1 buddies with Korean students to help your stay in CJU and enhance your Korean language and knowledge of Korean culture.
• Mentoring Program. Students starting their regular courses will be matched in groups of 5 foreign students. A Korean student will be in charge of each group, acting as guide for student life at CJU.
• Korean Language Program Attendance. KGSP students are allowed to attend Korean Language program during free periods, free of charge.

Mentoring Scholarships 2013
Within the framework of the „Stipendien- und Betreuungsprogramm STIBET“ forinternational PhD-students and postdocs, promoted by the German Academic ExchangeService (DAAD) and funded by the “Auswärtiges Amt”(AA), the Office of International Affairs of the LMU has the possibility to award mentoring scholarships in 2013.

Aim:
Thanks to these resources we can individually support three extraordinarily qualified international PhD students can be supported individually during the summer semester 2013.

The aim is to integrate excellent international doctoral candidates or postdocs into the international activities of their respective supervisor in the department.

Prerequisite:
These scholarships reward the active tutoring of the PhD-students. Supportive tasks, such as mentoring and assisting, should contribute to the international exchange.

The scholarships are awarded as scholarships by the Office of International Affairs of the LMU.

Beasiswa Luar Negeri, ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia by Ministry of Education, Singapore

The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three toPre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Students from Indonesia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.

Eligibility
Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:

• Nationals of Indonesia
• Born between 1997 to 1999
• Sat for 2013 SMP 3 National Final Evaluation Examination (UAN)
• Have done consistently well in school
• Proficiency in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities will be an advantage
