PANACEA is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2project funded by the European Commission aiming the set up of academic and Staff mobility between universities from Asia Regional (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia,Indonesia, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, North Korea) with a European university consortium. All the studies levels are foreseen in the frame of this project (Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate, Post-doc and Staff) and the consortium is composed by 8 European universities and 12 Third countries universities. All partner universities of the consortium offer study programmes and training in many fields and are linked with research laboratories recognized in these domains.

Practical details

• Mobility are implemented exclusively between European universities and Third countries universities (no mobility within the European consortium or within the Third country consortium).
• Mobility are organized in one way (Asian Universities – EU).
• The PANACEA programme began on July the 15th 2012 and will finish on July the 14th 2016 (48 months). One cohort is planned for this project.

Geographical and Thematic area

• The geographical aspect is important in this project, localized in the South-East of Asia. The Asian consortium is located in Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia and China. This aspect is for sure one of the main force of the consortium.
• On the other hand, the thematic areas of PANACEA are clearly defined : Man, Environment, Health, Bio-Diversity.
• The European consortium is located in all the EU with universities in Belgium, Italy, Greece, Spain, France, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Lithuania.

Musicians Institute has created the Musicianship Scholarship to assist advanced singers and musicians with their educational development.

Musicianship Scholarships are available to new instrument and vocals students (both US and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Bachelor of Music, Associate of Arts, or Certificate in Performance Programs who demonstrate outstanding musicianship. A total of ten Musicianship Scholarships (two per instrument) are awarded for each new program start. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in performance (instrument and vocals) programs only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases ( Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA or Bachelor degree.

The scholarship details and criteria are as follows:

• Available to international students and US citizens.
• Scholarship applicants must have submitted a materially complete Application for Admissions by the scholarship application due date and must be entering for the program for the first time.
• May be applied to Performance Certificate or Degree programs for Vocal, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards and Drums. (Encore program is not eligible).
• The total scholarship amount will be divided by the total number of quarters in the particular program and credited toward each quarter’s tuition in equal amounts for as long as the student maintains a 3.5 GPA.
• Scholarships are non-transferable, and may not be applied to any person, program or start date other than the one for which it was awarded.
• Award recipients will be notified one to two weeks following the application due date.

The MI 35th Anniversary Guitar Scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2013 to students (US or non-US citizens) enrolling in the Associate of Arts in Performance (Guitar) Program who demonstrate overall outstanding musicianship and stylistic versatility.

The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in the Guitar Performance Program only, and may not be transferred to “non-performance program” emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA degree.

Eligibility
To be considered for an MI 35th Anniversary Guitar Scholarship, you must take the following steps:

• Complete an MI 35th Anniversary Guitar Scholarship application (see application download instructions below).
• Submit a video recording (DVD format only) of you performing three (3) diverse songs (in any style on your instrument). It is recommended that this include two (2) live ensemble (band or duo) performances, and one (1) solo piece. You may use electric and/or acoustic guitars.

Award
$3,000.00 tuition credit ($1,500.00 per quarter for the first two consecutive quarters of the program. Awardee must maintain enrollment at 12 units (fulltime status) during the full length of award period. Failure to maintain enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in the Guitar Program for the full duration of the scholarship may result in withdrawal of the award.

A selective, merit based scholarship for top academic students
The Lund University Global Scholarship programme is targeted at top academic studentswho are citizens of countries from outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland). Top academic students have a proven record of achieving consistently high grades in previous studies. The scholarship is selective and completely merit based. No consideration is taken of the students’ financial needs in the selection process.

Scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fee of the programme or free-standing course for which you are awarded a scholarship. Please note that the Lund University Global Scholarship does not cover living costs.

Who is eligible?
Citizens of countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies at Lund University for a minimum of one semester of study (the equivalent of 30 ECTS full-time study) and who are required to pay tuition fees.

The Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (TCCM) Master is an initiative of 47 european institutions from 8 different European countries that aims to:

The Nano-Optics and Optoelectronics Research (NOOR) Laboratory is growing and we need multiple students to work on our ongoing and future research projects. To become a student at NOOR Lab, one needs to apply directly to the Institute through the Institute’s admissions website. While all admission decisions are made by the Institute, it is in our best interest to see qualified students interested in NOOR Lab research admitted to the program.

If the research areas mentioned above do not sound familiar to you, please do not feel discouraged. Some background in photonics is a plus, it is by no means a requirement. We accept students with different backgrounds, and in fact many faculty think that prior experience in photonics is relatively unimportant compared to the overall abilities and the level of motivation of the applicant.

The Institute is currently accepting students to Master program. During the two-year program, students are taking classes and pursuing research in their selected field. A thesis is submitted at the end of the program. While peers and faculty represent over 30 different nationalities, all instruction is conducted in English.

Applicants from all parts of the world are welcome. There is no application fee.

All admitted students will have the following benefits:

• Scholarships / research assistantships providing full financial support is available to students of all nationalities. It includes all tuition fees, medical insurance, housing, travel expenses, laptop, and a cost of living allowance;
• Access to the cleanrooms and the electron microscopy lab, expected to be fully operational by the end of 2012;
